Supporting Communities Through Action: The Flower Hub’s CSR Projects at Sosiani and Faith’s Children’s Home
At The Flower Hub, our commitment to sustainability extends beyond environmental stewardship or just ticking a box, it includes being connected to and investing in the well being of the communities around us. This year, two team-led CSR projects have shown how collective effort and compassion can create meaningful change: the installation of a playground at Sosiani Primary Autism Centre and the construction of a new kitchen at Faith’s Children’s Home in Nairobi.

In early July 2025, The Flower Hub team completed the installation of a new playground at Sosiani Primary Autism Centre. The project was selected by staff, who wanted to support a cause that helps children with autism access safe, engaging, and interactive play opportunities.
Playground equipment was purchased from Nairobi, with delivery assistance kindly provided by Sian. The team joined the school community for the playground’s opening and participated in preparing the site and setting up the area ahead of the installation.
The project has provided an important new facility for the school and is giving all of the children the opportunity to develop motor and social skills through play in a safe and stimulating environment.
Rebuilding After Loss: Faith’s Children’s Home
Just days later, on 14th July 2025, The Flower Hub began another CSR initiative; helping to rebuild the kitchen at Faith’s Children’s Home in Nairobi. The home had faced severe damage after a fire destroyed much of the facility last year, leaving the children and their carers to rebuild almost everything from scratch.
With incredible resilience and the support of friends and local well-wishers, parts of the home had already been restored. The Flower Hub contributed by funding and rebuilding the kitchen, ensuring the children and staff would once again have a safe, fully functioning space for meal preparation and daily use.
The kitchen project directly benefits around 65 children, providing reliable cooking facilities that are essential to the home’s daily operations. The Flower Hub team took an active role throughout the project; from fundraising and planning to volunteering on site, including digging foundations and supporting the construction process. The project is now now complete and is being used to serve up warm & wholesome meals daily!
Both of these projects have not only improved physical infrastructure but have also strengthened the bond between our team and the communities we serve. They represent the same core principles that are at the heart of our business: reliability, collaboration, and long-term sustainability.
We see every CSR project as an opportunity to learn, connect, and contribute in a way that aligns with our values. From rebuilding essential facilities to creating inclusive spaces for children, our focus remains on making a tangible difference through action.
We are proud of what our team has achieved together and look forward to continuing to support initiatives that bring hope and opportunity to more people across Kenya’s vibrant flower-growing regions.
