People & Planet

Your boots on the ground deeply rooted in Africa

Its all about people and planet!
We are passionate about sustainable supply and leaving our planet and people happier and healthier than we found them.
We are at a really exciting stage in horticultural development - we are testing the boundaries of tradition and doing things not only to save input costs, but also make long term gains by putting people and planet first. It's a journey of exploration and learning.

The Flower Hub began

The Flower Hub was set up by 3 growers and a sales expert initially, to sell their Hypericum and Summer Flowers directly to market.

Our Story

Our Story

Our business evolved with a mission to simplify the supply chain and allow our customers access to fresher flowers. In order to do that, we act as a service provider between the best farms in Kenya and manage the supply chain directly to your business. Reducing the steps from farm to customer means fresher flowers and therefore a longer vase life to enjoy them.

In 2005, our Directors looked to cut the supply chain and supply summer flowers directly from their farms into global importers, skipping the auction process.

This was extremely successful, so we soon had requests for many other flower types, including roses, and The Flower Hub was born.

With markets in Japan, the Middle East, the UK, Holland, the USA, France, and Scandinavia, we span the globe. Our family has grown to a 40-person team, and we are here as your boots on the ground in Kenya, with our eyes firmly on the product before it leaves. Ensuring the cool chain and the quality from start to finish, we can guarantee the best flowers.
And that is how The Flower Hub began...
