The Flower Hub Achieves GLOBAL G.A.P. Chain of Custody Certification
The Flower Hub Achieves GLOBAL G.A.P. Chain of Custody Certification
As we approach our 20-year anniversary, we’re proud to mark yet another significant milestone: The Flower Hub is now GLOBAL G.A.P. Chain of Custody (CoC) certified. This certification reflects our long-standing commitment to traceability, accountability, and transparency in every stem we deliver.
We’ve always believed that knowing the journey your flowers have taken is not just nice to have — it’s essential. In an increasingly complex supply chain, GLOBALG.A.P. CoC provides third-party assurance that the flowers we deliver have been responsibly sourced and handled every step of the way; from the partner farms we carefully select, through our cold chain logistics, right up to the moment your order is packaged, shipped and received.

The GLOBAL G.A.P. CoC standard applies to every stage of the supply chain and verifies that certified products truly originate from GLOBAL G.A.P. certified production processes. This means any business handling these products must be able to clearly demonstrate and document separation from non-certified goods, traceability of the product back to the farm, and integrity of the entire handling process.
GLOBAL G.A.P. certification is already well established in floriculture. According to GLOBAL G.A.P.’s public statistics, there are now over 800 floriculture producers certified under GLOBAL G.A.P. standards, spanning 28 countries. Chain of Custody certification ensures that this integrity is maintained through the full value chain, a critical issue for our buyers.
Why it matters to wholesalers
For our clients, from retail chains to independent wholesalers, this certification brings immediate benefits:
- Supply chain integrity: You know exactly where your product comes from, including how it was grown and handled. This reduces the risk of substitution and mislabeling — an issue flagged increasingly in the global floriculture trade.
- Market differentiation: In a sector where quality and sourcing practices are scrutinized more than ever, being able to say your flowers are traceable to GLOBALG.A.P. certified farms is a competitive advantage.
- Risk reduction: CoC certification minimises reputational risks associated with sustainability claims and ensures alignment with the rising expectations of regulators and consumers alike.
- Easier reporting: As ESG (Environmental, Social and Governance) reporting requirements increase in global markets, working with a CoC-certified supplier simplifies your documentation processes.
